Bristol & Bath Science Park has appointed Tom Beasley to lead day-to-day operations of its Forum and Innovation Centre.

Tom, pictured, is the former director of projects and strategic development at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, where he led the team responsible for securing £26.5m funding to support development of the Gloucestershire Science & Technology Park.

He also managed the pre-opening phase of a new University Technical College (UTC) which is due to open next year.

As its new head of forum & innovation centre, Tom will be responsible for marketing and letting space in the Bristol & Bath Science Park’s Innovation Centre, providing forums and opportunities for existing business to network and collaborate.

He said: “I have joined at a very exciting time. There are around 40 enterprises based here involved in advancing cutting-edge developments in science, technology and engineering.

“These disciplines will play a critical role in sustaining and growing the economy and give the UK a competitive edge in the global marketplace.

“It’s my job to ensure both the local and the wider community knows just what the Science Park has to offer and how our services can be maximised.”
