New head of communications joins Creative England

Creative England has appointed Kate Buxton, formerly of the BBC, as its new head of communications and strategy.

Kate, who took up her post in the Bristol office last month, will lead on strategy, marketing and communications.

Kate has worked with the media, Government, Whitehall and opinion formers for public sector organisations including the British Council and Arts Council England and most recently managing communications for the BBC across the Midlands, East and South of England.

Creative England is a national agency that invests in and supports creative ideas, talent and businesses in film, TV, games and digital media. It aims to grow the brightest, the best, and those with the most promise so that individuals and businesses can achieve their full creative and commercial potential.

As well as Bristol, Creative England has offices in Salford, Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham, Pinewood and Elstree.
