New chief executive officer for advanced engineering firm Alderley

Alderley, the South Gloucestershire-based advanced engineering group, has appointed Mark Colebrook as chief executive officer. He joins from GE Oil and Gas Subsea Systems for which he established and led its Subsea Services Centre of Excellence at Aztec West.

Mark, pictured, who also joins Alderley’s board, has 22 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with a strong background in business management, project management and engineering with GE, Schlumberger and Camco.

At Wickwar-based Alderley, which specialises in liquid and gas metering, water treatment packages and hydraulic control systems, he will oversee and report to the board on all group business.

Alderley chairman Tony Shepherd said: “Mark brings to the Alderley group leadership, strategic thinking and the drive needed to continue to develop our portfolio.  His career to date has a clear track record of delivery and growth.  This, coupled with his ability to create opportunities, will keep the Alderley brand synonymous with engineering excellence and customer commitment for many years to come.”

Alderley has a long heritage in the oil and gas industry and has supplied more than 750 systems to 50-plus countries. As well as its UK headquarters it has regional facilities in the UAE, Russia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
