Wealth management firm Cazenove Capital has opened an office in Bristol to serve its growing client base in the city and across the South West.

The move is part of a regional growth strategy at the firm, which has also included launching bases in Birmingham and Manchester and making 18 new hires dedicated to specific UK regions over the past three years.

Cazenove Capital said its new Bristol office in 10 Victoria Street was  located to take advantage of the city’s professional services hub as well as its a vibrant tech scene.

Cazenove Capital head of business owners and entrepreneurs, and head of UK regions, Karan Sejpal said: “We’re thrilled to open our new Bristol office, representing a significant milestone in our regional growth strategy.

“Clients are increasingly looking for a personalised, local service to achieve their long-term financial objectives.

“By expanding our local office network, it helps us to deepen relationships with a new wave of high and ultra-high net worth clients and better understand their needs.”

Cazenove Capital regional head – South West & Wales – Robert Nye added: “We are delighted to be opening a permanent new office in Bristol.

“The client advisor team will offer a comprehensive range of wealth management services, including investment management, financial planning and banking.

“A local base helps us to give our clients the highly personalised service for which Cazenove Capital is well-known for.”

10 Victoria Street, pictured, dates from 1875 and was originally home to watchmakers and jewellers Platnauer Brothers.

Today it balances the old with the new, including carbon-negative carpets and efficient heating, cooling and lighting systems.

Cazenove Capital has also partnered with Bristol charity Creative Youth Network and will be displaying artwork by its young artists in the new office. The firm said the move reflected its ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and promoting emerging talent.

Cazenove Capital is part of global asset manager Schroders, which has £109.4bn in assets under management.

It also has offices in London, Leeds, Chester and Edinburgh.
