Ryan Legge, an account handler at Bristol-based insurance broker Hayes Parsons, has won the title of Young Broker of the Year.
The accolade, in the UK Broker Awards, follows on from Ryan, 22, being named as Bristol’s Achiever of the Year in March.
Ryan, pictured, joined the industry three years ago under Hayes Parsons’ apprenticeship programme. 
The award was announced at a lavish ceremony in London attended by more than 500 guests from the insurance industry.
Ryan faced stiff competition from national and regional brokers but was complimented on his hard work and dedication – the judges were impressed with his commitment to learn and complete his professional qualifications as well as his enthusiasm to act as a role model and mentor to younger members of staff.
Ryan said: “I was so pleased to win Achiever of the Year in March and am even more excited to be named Young Broker of the Year.
“When I started at Hayes Parsons I didn’t think that three years later I would be winning a national award. I’m looking forward to continuing my career in the insurance industry with Hayes Parsons.”
The firm’s managing director James Woollam added: “This is an amazing achievement for both Ryan and Hayes Parsons.
Ryan has worked incredibly hard during his time with us and I am proud that our staff are receiving the recognition they deserve.

Hayes Parsons has been operating for more than 51years in the insurance market and serves a number of high-profile local, regional and national clients.
It recently moved to a new office in Colston Tower where it now employs 26 staff. It provides specialist insurance in several niche areas including marine trade, education and charity, property owners and technology as well as managing a number of bespoke schemes for specific professions who require unique insurance policies.
