A team from regional law firm Michelmores has raised more than £8,500 for its three charities of the year by completing the National Three Peaks Challenge.

The 32-strong group, pictured, scaled Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales in less than 24 hours.

In the process they chalked up a total of 462 miles driving between the three peaks and made a total ascent of 10,052 ft.

The funds raised from the feat will now be shared between Bristol hospitals charity Above and Beyond – which was selected as the charity of its office in the city earlier this year – and The Amber Foundation Bloodwise.

The Amber Foundation, the Exeter office’s chosen charity, helps homeless, unemployed young people move on to positive, independent futures while Bloodwise, Michelmores’ London office charity of the year, is the UK’s leading blood cancer research charity.

Two representatives from The Amber Foundation were among the 32 climbers completed the challenge.

Michelmores CSR partner for the Bristol office and real estate team partner Paul Beanlands, who organised and took part in the challenge, said: “A huge well done to team Michelmores for rising to this challenge – it was great to see the teams come together from across all of our offices to raise money for three fantastic charities.

“Thank you to everyone who supported us – each charity does amazing work for their local communities and we are very pleased to support the valuable work that they do.”

Michelmores’ Bristol office is also staging quizzes, sweepstakes and dress-down days for Above & Beyond.

Founded in 1974, the charity raises around £3m for Bristol’s eight city centre hospitals and South Bristol Community Hospital to make a real difference to patient care and hospital experience; creating welcoming environments, providing the latest equipment, supporting staff training and development, and funding innovative research.

Michelmores’ Bristol office handles legal services across a range of sectors, including real estate, construction, agriculture, corporate and private wealth. The team now includes 20 partners and more than 50 specialist lawyers.
