Regional law firm Michelmores has promoted two key members of its Bristol office to partner.

Edward Porter becomes a partner in the private wealth team, while Adam Corbin has been made partner in the agriculture team.

Edward, pictured right, joined Michelmores in 2013 from the Bristol office of international law firm Osborne Clarke, where he spent just over three years as a private wealth and charities solicitor.

At Michelmores Edward looks after a portfolio of South West, London and international clients, providing lifetime estate and tax planning with an increasing focus on business owners and those with agricultural property.

Adam Corbin, pictured below right, is a barrister and joined the agriculture team in 2014 from Iscoed Chambers in Swansea. He has a broad background in disputes practice covering landlord and tenant, property, commercial, contentious trusts and probate, and public law matters, predominantly in the agricultural sector.

Michelmores HR director Colette Stevens said: “We are delighted to see two of our senior associates rise through the ranks to take new positions as partners. These individuals represent the diversity of talent across our business. Each of them displays personal ambition for our firm, combined with an approach to working which is collaborative, friendly and innovative. As a result, they have each made a notable impact with the clients they support.”

Michelmores has also promoted seven senior associates this year. The firm, which also has bases in London and Exeter, opened its Bristol office in 2012 to offer legal services across a range of sectors, including real estate, construction, agriculture, corporate and private wealth.

The team now includes 20 partners and more than 50 specialist lawyers.
