Bristol design agency Gravity has merged with Duttons Design, the long-established design and communications agency.

Over the past five years Gravity, based at Paintworks, has developed a strong reputation for its creativity particularly among food clients – it has worked with Appetito, Wiltshire Farm Foods, The Groovy Food Company and Naturya, the Mangotsfield-based business producing nutrient-rich power foods.

Nailsea-based Duttons Design is one of the South West’s leading design agencies. Formed 25 years ago it has a blue-chip client list that includes 3 Mobile, AkzoNobel and Santander.

Duttons commercial director Mike Spurr said: “With the design industry focussing on increasing both efficiency and responsiveness, the merger of our businesses makes strategic sense.”

Gravity owner and managing director Sam Lacey added: “The merger is a great opportunity for both agencies.”
