A luxury addition has been made to the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Congresbury following the official opening of a £200,000 garden room.

A special launch event for the new venue was held with Miss Bristol International Gabriella Papp cutting the ribbon to mark the occasion. Guests enjoyed bubbly and canapes, live music and a live cooking demonstration on Keith Floyd’s historic oven which stands proud in the room.

The garden room, which adjoins the restaurant at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House, provides additional dining and private event space for up to 50 guests and boasts breath-taking views across the North Somerset countryside.

Guests will be able to enjoy al fresco dining overlooking the gardens thanks to the state-of-the-art design, which features an infinity glass front, a rain sensitive retractable roof and down heaters.

Located on a large section of the sun terrace outside the restaurant, the addition means customers at the restaurant and hotel will be able to enjoy a drink, light bite or one of Marco’s famous steaks outside all year round.

DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House general manager Colin Badcock, pictured with Gabriella, said: “The Garden Room has been a wonderful addition to our offering here at Cadbury House and Marco Pierre White’s and we’re delighted to have officially launched the space with a glittering celebration.

“Luckily we were blessed with a gorgeous evening, complete with impressive sunset, which made showing off the open space easy.

“It adds yet another dimension to our offering here and the views from the terrace are second-to-none. On a balmy summer evening sitting in the conservatory with a glass of wine and good food will be an unforgettable experience.

“Many of our customers come here for a special occasion and the new space will be available for private hire including parties, wedding receptions and conference dinners.”

Gabriella is being sponsored by the hotel and restaurant during her time as Miss Bristol International 2016 and while she competes in the UK Power Pageant. Officially opening the new space, she said: “I am so impressed with the new Garden Room, the views and twinkling lights make it such a lovely setting and I can’t wait to bring my family and friends to enjoy an evening here.”
