Bristol boutique commercial litigation firm Loney Stewart Holland has appointed Scott Taylor as its fourth partner.

Scott, pictured, joins from Bristol and London boutique firm Temple Bright, where he worked for just over a year as a dispute resolution partner.

He brings a wealth of experience in niche firm Loney Stewart Holland’s core offering of handling commercial, insurance coverage and professional liability disputes and, in addition, brings complementary expertise and contacts in contentious insolvency.

He has acted for a wide range of clients from limited and public companies through to partnerships, directors, shareholders, individuals and insolvency officeholders.

Loney Stewart Holland was set up in 2016 by Bristol-based lawyers Richard Loney, Alistair Stewart and Sarah Holland – who all previously worked at Bristol firm Lyons Davidson. Scott also spent six-and-a-half years at Lyons Davidson as a partner and head of dispute resolution.

He said: “I’m hugely excited to be joining Loney Stewart Holland and enhance the specialist services they offer. I was attracted to the firm due to their focus on working strategically with clients to achieve their objectives and resolve their disputes in a cost effective and efficient manner, achieving advantageous outcomes.

“Having worked closely with Richard, Alistair and Sarah previously, I know that the modern, proactive and partner-led service and advice they offer is second to none.”

Alistair added: “As Scott says, we have worked with him previously and so we know he is a fantastic addition to the firm. He provides commercial and pragmatic advice enabling clients to achieve positive results whilst keeping costs as proportionate as possible.

“His knowledge of insolvency adds an extra string to our bow. Scott’s appointment reflects our growing client base and reputation. Scott brings his own relationships with clients and other professional firms which fits well with our ability as a niche litigation firm to partner with other professional firms in providing a seamless service to our respective clients, something we have already been very successful in doing.”
