Stockbroker HB Markets has moved its Bristol base to the 10th floor of recently-refurbished Tower House, the 14-storey city centre office block in Fairfax Street.

HB Markets, previously in the Froomsgate office building in nearby Rupert Street, has taken a five-year lease on 1,400 sq ft – the fourth new occupier secured for Tower House in as many months.

Other recent arrivals at the building, managed by Bristol property firm Urbina, are Immediate Media – the consumer magazine group which combines BBC Magazine and Origin Publishing – and recruitment specialists Central Appointments and eRecruit.

HB Markets Bristol broking manager Tom Sayers said: “In addition to its regional dominance, Bristol has become one of the top commercial locations in the country so it is important for us to establish a high profile in the city. Tower House gives us an ideal location at the hub of an increasingly vibrant commercial centre.”

Richard Wright at property agents Colliers International, which co-brokered the lease with Jones Lang LaSalle, said the deal reflected Bristol’s increasingly important role as a financial hub.
