Two blocks of Grade II-listed city centre office buildings have been sold for £2.3m to a private investor, further proof say agents Alder King of a strong rebound in Bristol’s commercial property market.

The seven buildings in Orchard Street, pictured, which contain a total of 23,000 sq ft of offices divided into 88 offices of various sizes, were sold freehold. The investor was advised by Burston Cook.

The properties are let to The Orchard Business Centre on six 15-year leases from December 2012. The tenant provides serviced office facilities to businesses ranging from self-employed individuals to larger companies.

Gemma-Jane Ogden of Alder King’s investment team said: “We received strong interest from investors in both these properties. The investment offers an attractive return and long term there is potential for alternative use owing to the location in the city centre.”

Alder King acted on behalf of the joint LPA Receivers.
