Portishead-based coffee machine supplier Roy Ireland Espresso Services is looking forward to a period of growth after appointing Shire Leasing to provide financing for its equipment sales.

The deal was sealed by Steve Croft following his appointment as the Shire Leasing’s new sales manager for the Bristol and the South West.

The relationship will provide a strong platform for growth at Roy Ireland, which is predicting it will lease 30 coffee machines will over the next three years.

Roy Ireland Espresso Services, which was set up in 2000, provides commercial coffee equipment along with everything an organisation needs to provide hot beverages.

By teaming up with Shire Leasing is the UK’s largest independent funding house for equipment leasing and asset finance, Roy Ireland Espresso Services is enabling its customers to lease the equipment – a valuable funding option when access to finance remains difficult.

Bristolian Steve Croft joined Shire Leasing after a career that included roles in GE Capital, BT and most recently a small Bath-based independent broker.

He said: “Equipment providers’ sales are dependent on their customers getting access to finance.

“Many people say the banks are still reticent to lend and so they need another route. We have both the scale and expertise to run our own book, which means we have the flexibility to offer both suppliers and their customers a good, affordable solution.”
