Property agency Knight Frank has strengthened its Bristol office’s residential development and consultancy offering with the appointment of Daniel Harris.

Daniel, pictured, arrives from rival Savills’ Bristol office, where he worked for just over seven years – most recently as an associate director – and led on some of Bristol’s largest housing developments.

He joins Knight Frank, which described him as one of the South West’s leading development consultants, as a partner in its residential development team, bringing with him 14 years’ real estate experience.

While at Savills he advised clients across the entire South West – including Galliard Homes, Acorn Property Group, and Generator Group – and at every stage of the property lifecycle.

He has experience in identifying suitable sites and advising on development strategies as well as working with clients to progress and manage these opportunities through the development and sales process.

He has been involved in some of the region’s best-known development projects, including Brabazon on the former Filton airfield, Redland Court and Alliance House in Bristol, and Hope House and Lansdown Fields in Bath.

He also played a pivotal role in helping to kick-start and grow Savills’ new homes operation in Cheltenham.

While based in Knight Frank’s Bristol office, his remit will cover the wider region. He will be advising clients on projects from acquisition through to completion.

Knight Frank head of regional residential development & investment Mark Evans said: “Dan is well-known across Bristol and the South West for his unparalleled understanding of the local market.

“He is trusted and highly-regarded by his clients, and over the years has built up an excellent reputation as one of the region’s leading development consultants. We’re very pleased that he’ll be joining the Knight Frank team and look forward to welcoming him aboard.”

Daniel added: “As a Bristolian born and bred, I know this region and its property market inside out. I’m looking forward to bringing all the knowledge and experience I have built up over the years and pairing it with the unique, partnership-led approach that Knight Frank is well-known for.

“Knight Frank already has a solid platform in Bristol, and I’m very much looking forward to working with the existing team to build on this and take the offering here from strength to strength.”
