Bristol and West of England China Bureau has appointed Lingxi Wang as director of China affairs and initiatives.

Lingxi, pictured, is an associate in the Bristol office of South West law firm Foot Anstey and a member of its real estate team.

He has expertise in acquisition and disposal of commercial properties, refinancing transactions and landlord and tenant law and has acted on behalf of a range of clients including private individuals, banks, and companies.

He said: “I’m really excited to be taking this up opportunity. I see my role as acting as a bridge between the bureau and the Chinese community in Bristol and the South West region.”

He said the opportunities to work with the local Chinese community in the region were substantial and he also wanted to continue to develop the growing connections between Bristol and its ‘sister city’ Guangzhou.

“The bureau has been involved in some excellent projects that have resulted in some growing links between Bristol and Guangzhou and I’m hoping to build upon them for the benefit of local region.”

Lingxi, whose position at the Bristol and West of England China Bureau is voluntary, is also a member of Foot Anstey’s Islamic Finance team and has experience of acting on behalf of banks in refinancing transactions and assisting overseas investors on high value real estate acquisitions, often with an offshore element.
