Bristol law firm Clarke Willmott has been shortlisted for a third legal 'Oscar' in the space of one year, having made the final of The British Legal Awards 2011 for best Private Client/Family Team of the Year.

The annual awards, hosted by Legal Week, the industry magazine for the legal sector, recognise outstanding service in the sector.

Anthony Fairweather (pictured), managing director of the firm's Private Client Team, said: "This is a great result for the firm. To be nominated for a third award in the space of less than 12 months really is a strong endorsement of the high quality work that the private client team carries out. Our private client team is growing in all areas and we look forward to making the business even stronger in the years to come."

Clarke Willmott was the only firm outside London recognised for its Private Client work by The Lawyer magazine earlier in the year and also made the final of the STEP Private Client Awards last month.

The winners of The British Legal Awards 2011 will be announced on December 1.
