The UK’s largest independent manufacturer of ladders is moving from its Yatton base into two warehouse units on the Tweed Road Industrial Estate in Clevedon.

Ladder producer Titan Ladders, which was formed in 1933, produces aluminium, timber, fibreglass and steel ladders for trade, industrial and domestic use nationwide. It has taken new leases on both properties, which total 10,569 sq ft.

Property advisers Knight Frank and Russell Property Consultants advised landlord IO Group on the deal.

Rob Russell of Russell Property Consultants said: “The lack of available stock in Clevedon has impacted on the industrial property market in the town, and rents throughout the town and specifically on Tweed Road Industrial Estate have seen an uplift over the past six to 12 months.”

Josh Gunn of Knight Frank’s Bristol-based industrial agency team said: “IO is investing in refurbishing both units, which provided exactly what Titan Ladders was looking for – good quality warehousing and offices with excellent access to the motorway network. Clevedon is now starting to suffer from a lack of stock.”
