High-end hairdressing group Trevor Sorbie International is to open its first salon in Bristol through a letting arranged by the city office of national property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).

The firm is to move into the 1,443 sq ft ground and basement retail unit on The Triangle, Clifton, previously occupied by clothing retailer Jack Wills.

The high-profile Queens Road site, pictured, has been leased to the firm, which also has salons in Brighton, Manchester and London, as well as China and Dubai, for 10 years.

LSH agent Roxine Foster said the letting demonstrated confidence in Bristol’s retail market.

“After the expiry of the Jack Wills lease, we were instructed to achieve a letting to a strong covenant tenant, and this has been achieved.

“We worked hard to ensure the unit was let as quickly as possible for our client, and although other units on the road have been vacant for some time, we were able to secure a high-quality tenant within three months.”

Trevor Sorbie International managing director Sue Haydon said: “Trevor Sorbie is excited by the prospect of opening their first salon in vibrant Bristol.”

The firm is working in collaboration with Richmond brand consultancy Caulder Moore to create what Sue Haydon described as “a salon experience that customers love to discover, love to return to and love to spend more time with”.

Trevor Sorbie, the first hairdresser to receive an MBE, launched his flagship salon in London’s Covent Garden in 1979, having already made a name for himself in the industry. He has since opened a further five salons along with academies in London and Shanghai.

Trevor Sorbie International was represented by Robert Spaul of London-based LVC Property Consultancy.
