Bristol-based construction and refurbishment specialist Integral Build is to manage the conversion of one of the city’s most iconic Georgian parades from office accommodation to apartments.

The six townhouses making up 3-8 Redcliffe Parade West will be transformed into 30 high-quality one, two and three-bedroom apartments with communal facilities and car parking.

Integral Build has been appointed by developer Change Real Estate, which in a joint venture with Bristol-based Cannon Family Office, is planning a high-quality and sustainable residential development t overlooking the floating harbour.

The scheme will include the restoration of the main façade of the Grade II listed terrace that dates back to the 1770s. A 1970s extension at the rear of the property will be redesigned as part of the development.

Integral Build divisional director Tim Stringer said: “These beautiful Georgian houses are in a prime location that is currently seeing a real renaissance in popularity.

“They were never designed to be offices; converting them back to their original purpose as living spaces will be very satisfying.”

Integral Build, which specialises in construction, interiors, refurbishment and fit-out projects, is working with Bristol firms Alec French Architects and civil engineers Clarke Bond as part of its design team on the challenging project.

“We are working around old features whilst at the same time bringing the buildings up to present day requirements,” said Mr Stringer.

Change Real Estate development manager James Fothergill added: “This Georgian parade is one of the city’s iconic features. Located within a conservation area of course brings challenges, however this redevelopment will breathe new life to the property which has real history behind it, protecting it for future generations.”
