Global engineering, network and operations group Cyient has relocated its UK office from Almondsbury to Portishead to meet its expansion plans.

The firm, whose global headquarters are in Hyderabad, India, set up the Bristol division in 2007 to service clients in the UK and Scandinavia.

It has now leased 3,500 sq ft of high-quality office space in the ground floor Units 2C and 2D at Marine View Office Park in Portishead, pictured, strengthening the North Somerset coastal town’s reputation as an emerging centre for hi-tech businesses.

The accommodation has been taken on a 10-year lease off a quoting rent of £12.50 per sq ft.  The firm was advised by Gale Priggen & Co while Alder King represented the landlord PMH Western.

Tom Dugay of Alder King’s office agency team in Bristol said: “Portishead is now home to a growing number of successful hi-tech occupiers including Viper Subsea, a sub-sea engineering company which relocated into larger headquarters at Marine View earlier this year.

“We are now speaking to a number of other hi-tech firms about the remaining office suites and are hopeful the letting success will continue.”

Alder King is marketing the remaining 22,000 sq ft of accommodation at Marine View Office Park which is available in self-contained suites starting from 1,700 sq ft.
