Home care services provider Enara, part of Bristol-based outsourcing group MITIE, has enlarged its office in the city as part of its rapid expansion.

MITIE, best known for office cleaning, security and building maintenance, acquired Surrey-based Enara last year for £111m, taking it into the expanding healthcare market.

Enara, the UK’s fourth-largest home-care group, provides high-quality service to people who require help and support due to illness, disability or infirmity.

It already has a significant presence in the South West, with more than 500 employees providing up to 16,000 hours of care to the community.

The larger Bristol office, along with a new base in Exeter, builds on Enara’s other established centres in Plymouth and Okehampton. The two new centres are creating 23 jobs including 10 care staff in Bristol.

The move to larger premises in Bristol, the second largest in the region, will meet increased demand for its services in the city and will be base for more than 100 carers.

As part of the move, Enara has appointed Kerrie Graham as its new registered manager in Bristol.

MITIE strategic director of healthcare Wayne Felton said: “I’m delighted that we are investing in and expanding our service provision in the South West, which is an important growth area.

“We’re committed to continually improving our services and always keeping the people we look after as our number one priority. The new offices in Bristol and Exeter will allow us to improve access and involvement for our customers, service users and employees.”
