Arcadia Housing, which owns and manages more than 11,000 homes, has appointed chartered accountant Edward Rowberry as assistant director of finance. His appointment comes as the group takes part in a series of stock swaps with other regional housing associations and builds a new head office in Worle, Weston-super-Mare.

Ed, who will lead a team responsible for treasury management, accounting and financial planning, worked for several years in the commercial property sector. Originally from London, he moved to Bristol in 2009 to work in the social housing sector as deputy chief executive of United Housing Association.

He said: “Arcadia Housing is one of the leading housing associations in the South West – and the stock swaps and relocation to a new HQ, is hugely exciting.”

Duncan Brown, group director of resources added: “Ed has an enviable reputation and I’m glad to have someone with his experience on board.”
