Bristol-based exhibition stand specialist Clip has appointed Richard Proctor as senior client relationship manager in a move that brings him back to the firm where he previously worked for 10 years.

During that time Richard managed some of Clip’s largest and most prominent oil and gas clients and helped them exhibit at high-profile industry across the globe.

At the Offshore Europe event in Aberdeen in 2013 he has responsible for 15 stands, including a 230-sq m stand for Houston-based wellhead provider Dril-Quip.

The following year he left Clip to live with his family on the Isle of Skye but is now returning to manage and develop existing customers in the North of England and Aberdeen from bases in Yorkshire and Edinburgh.

Clip head of marketing Paul Runacres said: “Richard’s extensive experience in oil and gas makes him the perfect person to take the lead for us in that sector, particularly as many energy companies seek to realign their promotional activities in an uncertain climate.

“Last year, for example, the Offshore Europe event was hit by the price of oil – but we still delivered 11 stands. We’re already in conversation with over 15 companies regarding Offshore Europe 2017, due to be held September – and it’s fantastic that not only these firms, but businesses throughout the North of England will be able to benefit from Richard’s diligence and expertise in the months and years ahead.”

Richard added: “It’s fantastic to be back at Clip. I’m really looking forward to catching up with old clients and forging positive working relationships with new ones.”

Clip, which has an annual turnover of £8.5m, employs 50 people at its Wick base designing and building exhibition stands for blue-chip regional, national, and international clients including Thatchers Cider, HSBC, Nandos, Hilton, L3, Google, BT and GSK.
