Property advisors GVA have appointed Tim Scruton to the role of regional head of building for the South West and South Wales region.

Tim, a director in the firm and a qualified chartered surveyor, has previously led GVA’s specialist primary healthcare building team and will now absorb this into his new role.

He has 20 years’ experience in the property and building industry and brings knowledge of project management, commercial surveying and project monitoring to his new job, having worked on major projects throughout the South for clients such as Lloyds TSB, Prudential, Legal & General, MEPC and Burford and, more recently, a number of health trusts and local GP practices.

Meanwhile, as part of GVA’s plans to further grow its building team in the South West, Anthony Burn joins as a project manager from the Sweet Group.

GVA regional senior director in its Bristol office, David Mace, said: “Tim’s experience and in-depth market knowledge will be an asset to GVA in the expanded role he is taking on. Together with all our teams throughout the South West and South Wales, we are in a strong position to continue growing our building service throughout the healthcare, retail, industrial and commercial sectors.”
