Bristol-headquartered strategic communications consultancy JBP has published a guide to help businesses engage more effectively with staff and customers as the Covid-19 lockdown is lifted.

Called Reboot Your Business, the guide gives expert advice to employers from the day their staff return to the workplace through to reshaping their organisations and announcing key changes to stakeholders.

The guide covers the questions that employers need to ask as well as those to expect from their employees, customers and suppliers – so enabling them to shape a successful internal and external communications and engagement programme.

As part of its Reboot Your Business programme, JBP has also organised a series of live streamed interviews with some of the West of England’s and the UK’s leading communicators.

JBP managing director Chris Lawrance, pictured, said: “How and what employers have communicated and how they’ve engaged with key stakeholders has defined them during the coronavirus pandemic and the same will be true as business gets back to some degree of normality.

“Employers will face some extremely tough decisions in the coming weeks and months ahead and effective communications will be key to business reputation.

“Whilst there will be challenges along the way, there will be major opportunities for organisations to engage employees in reimagining their businesses and provide much-needed peace of mind that they have a vital role to play in the future.”

Among experts taking part in the live streamed interviews will be Andrew Vontz, head of communications at running and cycling app Strava; Luke Bigwood, head of brand, communications and public affairs at green energy group Good Energy; Andrew Cave, co-author of Power of Purpose and a business writer at the Daily Telegraph; and Julia Bramble, a leading social media expert and founder of BrambleBuzz.

JBP, which celebrated its 35th anniversary last year, has a client roster that includes national and international organisations such as E.ON, First Bus, National Grid, Palletways, SodaStream and the UK Vaping Industry Association.
