Casino group Grosvenor has completed a £500,000 refurbishment of its Bristol outlet, revamping its leisure, gaming and food-and-drink experience.

The group, part of The Rank Group which operates 52 casinos across the UK, said the improved gaming and sports area, along with a new modernised décor, will boost guests’ experience.

The casino on Anchor Road – one of just two in Bristol city centre – features five American roulette tables, a three-card poker table with 20 slots, three blackjack tables, and a number of electronic terminals.

Grosvenor said the refurb would be a big plus for sports fans as it now offers what it claims is some of the best sports viewing in city.

The all-new bar and sports area will be showing sport 24 hours a day on Sky Sports HD, BT Sport HD and Premier Sports channels while a new restaurant and bar area features a new menu.

Grosvenor Casino Bristol general manager Karl Grossman said: “It’s great to officially launch our new look casino here in Bristol and to see new and old guests come through the doors.

“This is a significant investment in the town’s hospitality sector and shows our commitment to creating a modern venue which will help bring back great nights out to the town, as well as helping to create lots of job opportunities for local people.”

Grosvenor said more improvements at the casino are in the pipeline to upgrade the gaming area.

The refurbishment, which was unveiled at a relaunch party last Saturday, with is creating seven jobs with more roles to follow in the coming months, Grosvenor added.
