November 8, 2019

Bristol law firm Gregg Latchams has appointed Julian Dawson as its first chief operating officer to oversee business operations and improve client experience.

Julian, pictured, has more than 15 years’ experience in IT, enterprise architecture, project management and marketing and was previously the firm’s head of IT – a role in which we worked for just over two years.

He has also worked for SMEs and spent two-and-a-half years in the IT department Bristol-headquartered national law firm TLT.

Most recently, he spent two years as a self-employed consultant helping professional service firms develop efficient and effective operations.

Gregg Latchams managing director Richard Hill said: “Julian has gone above and beyond during his time at Gregg Latchams. His strategic insight is of immense value, and he thoroughly deserves this new role.

“He brings extensive knowledge from his technology background along with enthusiasm, passion and dedication to his role.

“Over the course of his two years at Gregg Latchams, he has made it his mission to get to know the team, business strategy and our existing systems. This is what makes him the perfect choice for our chief operating officer.”

Julian added: “There has never been a more exciting time to work at Gregg Latchams and I’m thrilled to be playing a bigger role in the continued growth of the firm.

“We are focusing on what our clients want and need from a law firm in these uncertain and changing times, and how we can provide the best possible service through emerging technologies and data, as well as changes in our firm culture, practices and processes.

“Naturally, this puts business operations at the heart of the Gregg Latchams value proposition.

“I know this approach will be invaluable and I looking forward to helping the firm and its clients achieve even greater success.”

Headquartered in Bristol, Gregg Latchams also has an office in London. The firm provides legal services for SMEs, private individuals and business owners living in or investing in the UK.
