Two newly qualified solicitors have joined Bristol law firm Gregg Latchams’ growing commercial team.

Emma Jones and Henry Nelson-Case will have a particular focus within the tech team, led by Paul Hardman, to meet growing demand in this sector.

Emma, pictured, qualified in 2017 with a high street firm after completing her Graduate Diploma in Law part time while working in London.

Prior to that, she had spent 12 years with Lloyds Banking Group, progressing from phonebank advisor to derivatives documentation specialist in its investment banking branch.

She relocated to Bristol last year during maternity leave and joins Gregg Latchams to build on her commercial banking experience.

Emma said: “I’m so excited to be joining Gregg Latchams in this fast-growing and fast-changing area of law.

“Technology now permeates every industry and aspect of our lives, so it is a really interesting legal specialism which covers a very wide range of work.”

Henry Nelson-Case, pictured, qualified last December after training at a law firm in Cheltenham and gaining paralegal experience at a large international law firm.

He has a keen interest in new technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and smart home technology and the exciting opportunities that such technologies present.

He said: “The demand for legal expertise in digital media and tech is growing rapidly so it is a great time to be entering this area of law.

“I’m looking forward to helping Paul and others further develop this team.”

Paul Hardman said the two appointments showed Gregg Latchams’ commitment to investing in tech expertise in order to build on the support it offers to clients in the sector.

“These two new appointments bring a passion and knowledge that extends beyond the law,” he said.
