Small and medium-sized firms in Bristol and across the West of England can get free help on issues such as contracts, performance management and recruitment through a new HR support service.

Launched by Business West, the organisation that runs Bristol Chamber of Commerce, the service will offer tailored advice for businesses via one-to-one sessions with HR professionals and access to a range of topical workshops.

After signing up, businesses will work collaboratively with HR experts to identify areas for support and build a bespoke action plan tailored to their needs.

Organisations will also be able to access monthly workshops, led by Bristol-based HR consultancy Atoll and WECIL (the West of England Centre for Inclusive Living), on a range of different subjects.

Business West head of skills delivery Lizzie Lyons said: “The HR Support Service has been purposely designed to fit around the needs of individual organisations.

“Whether they are a start-up or a more established SME, they will receive bespoke support that will improve their HR processes and benefit their business going forward.”

The scheme is part of the Workforce for the Future scheme, which Business West is delivering on behalf of the West of England Combined Authority in collaboration with regional partners.
