The developer sector team at national law firm Foot Anstey has secured a place on the legal panel of Eastlight Homes – its fourth housing association panel appointment in the past year.

Foot Anstey, which has an office in Bristol, has been appointed to two lots – for property and development, with its team now on hand to support Essex–headquartered Eastlight Homes on a range of property and development related matters.

Eastlight Homes looks after 12,500 social homes in the East of England and has plans to build thousands more in the coming years.

The panel will also advise the members of Procurement Alliance for Essex (PAE), collaboration of 21 public sector organisations based in the county.

The Foot Anstey team includes legal director and head of affordable housing Lara Borrett-Lynch as client relationship lead, partner Patrick Wetherall, legal director Marina Wickens and managing associate Rachel Langley as deputy client relationship lead, as well as general support from the firm’s development, construction and general property teams.

Lara said: “Eastlight Homes has led the way in terms of building safe neighbourhoods with its resident-led approach.

“This appointment is recognition of our deep understanding, expertise and hard work in the sector. We are excited to begin supporting Eastlight on two of its lots to help it enhance its offering to residents.”

Foot Anstey was appointed to London-based Hyde Group’s legal panel in November and has also secured places on the legal panels of Yeovil-based Advantage South West and the Housing Associations’ Legal Alliance, a collaboration between some of the UK’s leading housing associations.

Foot Anstey, which has offices in Exeter, London, Plymouth, Southampton, Taunton and Truro as well as Bristol, advises clients in sectors spanning development, energy and infrastructure to Islamic finance and retail and consumer.
