West advanced engineering innovator Renishaw has appointed Rolls-Royce’s former group HR director Kath Durrant as a non-executive director with effect from January 1 next year.

Ms Durrant, pictured, who has also worked for AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline, sits as an advisory board member for the Lancaster University Management School.

She will become a member of Wotton-under-Edge-based Renishaw’s remuneration committee and nomination committee.

The firm employs more than 3,300 people in 30-plus countries making hi-tech measuring devices and other equipment used by leading manufacturers across the globe.

Renishaw founder, chairman and chief executive Sir David McMurtry said: “With her extensive experience as a senior HR executive in the healthcare and engineering industries, Kath will be a valuable addition to the company’s resources at board level.”
