Factory site to become mixed-use development

Investors are being sought to help kick start a mixed-use development scheme on brownfield land with nearly 200 apartments and commercial space.

The development makes imaginative use of a freehold site once occupied by the Pring & St Hill steel fabrication factory in Malago Road, Bedminster, which closed in 2003 and was demolished in 2009.

Land and development agents CJH Land has a resolution to grant full planning permission for 183 one and two-bedroom apartments and 1,715 sq m of A1, A3, and B1 commercial space, subject to the signing of a Section 106 Agreement. There are also 107 undercroft car parking spaces.

CJH Land director Matthew Hiles said: "Bedminster has much to offer and the homes will appeal to investors, first-time buyers and young professionals."

Flax Bourton-based CJH sells land and property for residential development on behalf of retained clients, mainly in the South and South West.
