Former Deloitte vice-chairman becomes first chairman at Consumer Intelligence

Bristol-based Consumer Intelligence, the provider of consumer insight for clients in the financial sector, has appointed Louis Jordan as is first chairman as it looks to further develop the business.

The firm was launched 13 years ago by Ian Hughes, the former development director of Bristol-based pioneering direct marketing services group MM Group.

It specialises in collecting and analysing millions of pieces of data and prices for general insurance and banking sectors clients in nine countries across Europe, Asia and North America.

Louis, picturedwill steer the company’s strategic growth with its existing clients and by developing new services into new markets.

He previously worked for 16 years as a partner and vice-chairman of accountancy giant Deloitte. During that time he held senior roles in the firm, both in the UK and globally and oversaw the implementation of a number of innovative and significant market initiatives.

He was personally responsible for developing and leading some of the largest client relationships across the Deloitte global network.

Prior to that, he was a partner at accountants KPMG, specialising in the banking and insurance sectors, primarily in the UK, US and Switzerland. While at KPMG, he developed and built its capability to support financial sector clients through operational transformation and in particular, post-merger integration.

He said: “Consumer Intelligence has the ability to help insurers and banks gather meaningful customer insight to inform their commercial strategy. I look forward to working with the team to further develop their global research and advisory practice.”
