Bristol-based law firm TLT has appointed health and safety specialist Duncan Reed as an associate. He joins from DAC Beachcroft where he was a senior solicitor in the firm’s safety, health and environment practice.

Duncan, pictured, a solicitor advocate, has a broad range of health and safety experience but also deals with product liability and food safety issues. His expertise spans regulatory compliance and due diligence support on health and safety and environmental issues for corporate acquisitions and disposals.

TLT partner and head of its regulatory team Kerry Gwyther said: “Duncan’s appointment bolsters our regulatory offering, which has substantial experience of providing compliance advice and defending regulatory prosecutions. Duncan has excellent trial experience combined with good commercial awareness of the impact on clients of an investigation or prosecution.”

TLT’s health and safety practice is committed to protecting businesses, directors and senior managers from regulatory investigations and prosecutions. The team advises in all sectors, from construction and aggregates to retail and financial services clients and has substantial expertise in regulatory compliance, including dealing with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Environment Agency, trading standards, fire authorities and transport regulators.
