Bristol-based project and programme management company Matthew Cabot has appointed Rowena Tanner to the newly-created role of business support lead.

Rowena, 25, is the daughter of Chris Tanner, the firm’s founder and managing director. Her appointment follows a significant increase in the uptake of the firm's online project management training courses. It has also won a number of new programme management contracts.

Rowena previously worked in the legal industry after graduating from Sussex University in 2012 with a law degree with honours – but has always been keen to help with Matthew Cabot’s continued success.

Rowena said: “It’s a really exciting time for the business and I hope that my business skills and experience will really add value to the courses and programmes that we run in Bristol and throughout the UK.”

Since its launch in 2011 Matthew Cabot has gained a number of high-profile clients including the International Atomic Energy Agency, Kaefer C&D, one of the world’s largest industrial services groups, and leading UK animal charity The Blue Cross.

Chris Tanner said: “I’m thrilled that Rowena is joining Matthew Cabot, not only because she joins at an exciting time and will further help the business to grow, but as she’s my daughter, we have immediately become a family business which is just wonderful.”
