A major conference this afternoon will explain why Bristol is set to have one of the UK’s best-performing local economies as the country moves out of recession.

The high-profile Bristol’s Bright Future event at Ashton Gate will hear from a range of speakers who will take the pulse of the city’s key sectors and look at what needs to be put in place to ensure that Bristol and its citizens make the most of – and benefit from – this growth.

It will also provide an opportunity to highlight some key projects and initiatives that the city can be proud of – ranging from its creative and tech sectors to the planned Wavegarden surf lake and Bristol’s future as a tourist destination.

The event is a follow up to the highly-successful Bristol’s Bright Future Conference, which took place in April 2011 and attracted more than 400 business leaders. It is once again being produced and organised by Elaine Brown, this time in partnership with Business West. The conference is sponsored by property consultants BNP Paribas Real Estate and The Business Showcase South West 2014.
