Bristol-headquartered national law firm TLT has strengthened its trust and estate team with the appointment of Claire Johnson as legal director.
Claire’s appointment follows a growth in demand for the firm’s tax and succession planning expertise in the domestic and international sphere from private and corporate clients. 
Claire, pictured, has more than 25 years’ legal and tax experience and has long been recognised as a leading individual in the Welsh private client market, where she previously headed the private client offering at Morgan Cole. She has also worked at Geldards, Leo Abse & Cohen and Howells Solicitors.
As well as regularly working with high net worth families, Claire has also focussed on advising business owners, working closely with corporate colleagues to provide a joined-up approach to business succession and personal planning.
TLT partner and head of trust and estate team Patrick Wooddisse said Claire’s reputation and experience further enhanced the firm’s wealth planning offering for both private clients and those in the bank and corporate sectors.

“Indeed, the pandemic has, if anything, sharpened people’s focus on the importance of planning for the future.

TLT, which has more than 140 partners and around 1,200 staff across its seven offices, won the Law Firm of the Year title at The Lawyer Awards last year.
