BRAVE Enterprise in Bristol is running a series of training events for aspiring entrepreneurs and established businesses owners who want to beef up their online security.

The workshops, which are being held at the business support organisation’s office in Upper York Street, include:

Thinking About Business

Date: February 5

Time: 10am–12 noon

Anyone considering going into business for the first time will benefit from attending this free introductory seminar. If you’re in the very early stages of thinking about starting your own business – but are not sure what steps to take – this free workshop will help you get your thoughts in order and your business idea on track.

Cyber Security – how can you protect your business?  

Date: February 19

Time: 10.30am – 12noon.

Small businesses are big targets for hackers and the financial implications can be crippling. But you can keep your business safe from online threats by putting simple measures in place. This free workshop, presented by Joanne Bocko of Avon and Somerset Police, will show you how.

Time: 10am – 4.30pm

This all-day workshop is for those who have thoroughly researched their business idea. It’s all about preparation – preparing yourself, your finances and your business plan. You’ll get expert advice and encouragement and be equipped with the tools to take your business idea from the drawing board to reality.
