Courses include:

Promote your Business with PR

Date: Thursday, June 8

Time: 10am – 1pm

This practical introduction to PR is for anyone who wants to learn how to promote their business through the media. The half-day workshop will equip them with the essential skills needed to generate valuable publicity in the local, trade and consumer media. Attendees will also learn how to write engaging content for social media. The workshop is presented by Paul Mullins, an experienced PR consultant and former business journalist who has worked in the media for more than 20 years. Course content:

·         Create newsworthy stories about your business

·         Write professional press releases

·         Pitch stories confidently to journalists

·         Write engaging blogs for target customers

·         Use PR to achieve your business goals

Using Social Media

Date: WednesdayJune 21  

Time:  10am – 1pm 

This workshop is for anyone who wants to find out how to make Facebook and Twitter work better for their business and be more organised and strategic about their social media marketing. By the end of this seminar attendees will understand the possibilities of cost-effective content marketing channels and be better at promoting your business. They will take away some tools and tips to make it easier to manage.

Introduction to Search Engine Optimisation

Date: WednesdayJune 21  

Time:  2pm – 5pm

If your website plays a key part to your business then this workshop will help you maximise its potential. It will equip you with the tools you need to make your site feature more highly in Google and other search engines. The course will cover:

Essential Customer Care

Date: Wednesday June 28

Time: 10am – 1pm

This workshop is for anybody who wants to improve the quality of their customer service. The higher quality customer service they provide, the higher level of customer satisfaction they will enjoy, and that will translate into repeat business and more revenue. Generally 80% of revenue comes from 20% of repeat customers. Using our trust-based selling skills, we will help attendees build their customer service into a tool that will help their business thrive.

Improve Your Presentation Skills

This workshop is for all those who want to improve the way they pitch their business to others and to increase their confidence in delivering both formal and informal sales presentations. A sales presentation can make or break a deal. Many people dread giving them, others love making a pitch – although that doesn’t mean they are doing them well. However they feel about presentations, they can always improve their approach and increase their confidence with some practical tools and simple techniques.

·         Consider factors affecting delivery style

·         Know how to build confidence when presenting

Marketing on a Shoestring

Date: Thursday June 29

Time: 10am – 1pm 

This half-day workshop is for all those who have an interest in cost-effective marketing of their business and wish to develop the skills needed to implement a marketing strategy. It will give them an understanding of the fundamental principles and practice of marketing in a clear and logical way. Those taking part will start to develop a strategy based on their own business needs and will explore some key tools and tactics to help them implement it back in the workplace.

·         Understand the importance of creating a strong brand

·         Know the different characteristics and applications of the marketing mix

This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn practical skills to manage their time more effectively. This will not only help them develop a more successful business, but also create a better work-life balance.
