Family-run event catering firm McBaile has appointed Caroline Coxon as business development director – a move which comes as it undergoes a transformation, including a move to premises and the launch of a number of new initiatives.

Caroline, pictured, joined the Yate-based firm three and a half years ago and has worked in a number of roles from event management to driving a van.

She said: “I’ve enjoyed watching the company grow and develop. We have a solid client base, good relations with our customers and a great team. This opportunity means I can take a whole view on the business and help steer us to bigger and better things.

“This is a really exciting time for us all, and we have some great projects coming up over the next few months.”

The company, formed in 2009, has provided catering and event organisation for blue-chip clients such as the BBC, Badminton Horse Trials and the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, as well as society events, weddings and private functions.

The company was founded by Caroline’s sister Laura McCormick and Laura’s executive chef husband Rod.

Laura said: “It’s fantastic to have Caroline on the board. She’s a huge asset to the business and we are excited about together taking the company to the next level.”
