Bristol entrepreneurs and small business owners are being offered a rare chance to meet some of the region’s most-active dealmakers at an event in the city aimed at demystifying private equity and highlighting finance options for growth, succession and exit.

The ‘Inside Private Equity’ event is being staged by accountancy and investment management group Smith & Williamson’s Bristol office on Tuesday, November 25.

Experts taking part will be from a range of private equity firms and advisors including Growth Capital Partners, Business Growth Fund, LDC, Mobeus Equity Partners, Chelverton Asset Management, Vistage and Smith & Williamson.

David Roper, pictured, a corporate finance partner in Smith & Williamson’s Bristol office, said: “For many entrepreneurs and business owners, the world of private equity is extremely complicated. Few understand what it is, who the investors are, how it works and whether it is suitable for their business.

“This event is a rare opportunity to hear from a selection of leading private equity firms and professional advisers, to interrogate the process and consider the options for financing growth, succession or exit. We would like to extend a warm welcome to the business community and hope to see as many owners as possible on the day.”
