The Bristol Office of property agents Christie + Co has sold a care home in Midsomer Norton to a businessman making his first venture into the sector.

Previous owners the Thomas Family sold the detached property, which is one a large plot with attractive residents' gardens, to Paul Nery to allow them to retire from healthcare.

Christie + Co said Mr Nery intends to continue running the home in its present format, while working with staff to improve its good local reputation.

Russell Brooks of Christie + Co’s, who handled the sale, said: “Beechcroft House is a pleasant and well thought of residential home that offers an excellent opportunity for a new entrant to the healthcare sector like Mr Nery.”

He said the sale demonstrated continued strong demand from good quality purchasers wishing to acquire businesses in the sector.

The home was sold for an undisclosed sum including the freehold interest in the property, goodwill, fixtures and fittings.
