Lloyds Bank is to sponsor this year’s South West Manufacturing Dinner hosted by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation.

The flagship event – now in its third year – is a celebration of the region’s dynamic and flourishing manufacturing and engineering sectors.

It was established to encourage networking, greater collaboration and the sharing of new ideas – vital for an industry going through rapid technological change – and brings together leading manufacturers, engineers and senior business people from across the South West.

It is the second time Lloyds Bank has actively been involved in sponsoring the dinner. The move not only demonstrates the bank’s commitment and depth of support to the sector, but also marks the importance of manufacturing to the regional economy.

This year’s dinner take places on June 25 at Aldwick Court Farm & Vineyard at Redhill, near Bristol.

The welcoming address will be made by EEF CEO Terry Scuoler with international inspirational speaker Jim Lawless, best known for his best-selling book Taming Tigers, giving the post-dinner speech. Last year the event attracted more than 110 attendees.

EEF South West membership manager Lindsay Lewis said: “This is the flagship annual event for South West manufacturers so we’re delighted that Lloyds Bank is coming on board. It sends a strong signal to hard-working companies in the sector that their valuable contribution to our region’s economy is recognised and supported.”

Lloyds Bank South West manufacturing relationship director from Andrew Lucas added: “As part of our ongoing commitment to the sector, we are extremely proud to announce our sponsorship once again this year in what is a key event in the calendar for manufacturers and engineers in the South West.”
