Bristol chartered surveying firm ETP has made two strategic hires to support its ambitious growth strategy.

Nathan Clark joins as a director and Cameron Brown as a graduate surveyor to expand its commercial real estate agency department.

ETP, which has operated across the South West for the past 140 years, was taken over last year by Alastair Kimpton and Edward Le Masurier, chartered surveyors with more than 30 years’ experience between them.

Nathan is an accredited RICS registered valuer with more than 20 years’ experience as a chartered surveyor, having previously worked as an associate director at Bristol-headquartered national firm Alder King and as an asset manager at London & Cambridge Properties.

He has advised clients from private individuals to large corporations and public bodies.

At ETP he will take overall responsibility for the firm’s commercial real estate agency department, dealing with market analysis, disposals, acquisitions, estate rationalisation and asset management.

He said: “This is an exciting time to join ETP. As lockdown restrictions ease, we are witnessing increased activity in the market with businesses re-evaluating their commercial property requirements.

“The next six to 12 months will be critical as consumer confidence is re-established. We are experiencing a lot of activity in the lower end of the market across all sectors as start-ups take advantage of new market conditions.

“It remains to be seen how much surplus ‘grey space’ comes forward in the office and retail markets. Undoubtedly, post-pandemic demand will present many new opportunities.”

Cameron joined ETP in April after six years at Andrews Property Group, where he worked as a sales negotiator and assistant branch manager.

He has recently completed a Master’s in Real Estate Management at UWE and is working towards becoming RICS qualified.

His role at ETP will focus on commercial agency and valuation, supporting Nathan to grow the agency business.

Cameron said he was delighted to be starting my new career in property at ETP at such a crucial moment for the industry.

“Whenever there’s been a shake-up of the market, it creates a real opportunity for surveyors like us to advise businesses and illustrate how different types of property interact,” he added.

“I’ll be watching with interest to see how the pandemic continues to affect the market over the next 12 months.”

ETP co-owner Alastair Kimpton said: “ETP has a long history advising businesses in the South West and since Ed and I took over the reins last year, we’ve been growing both our team and our offer. “Nathan and Cameron bring a range of different experiences to the table and we’re delighted to have them on board for the next phase of our journey.”

As well as commercial agency, ETP’s other core services include valuation, lease advisory, building consultancy and development consultancy.
