Digital agency claims number two spot in national ranking year after acquiring Bristol firm

Fat Media, the full service digital agency with a large Bristol presence, has been placed second on a list of the highest performing agencies in the UK.

The agency, which lists Typhoo, Warburtons, Lakeland, Samsung, and JD Sports among its clients, gained the number two ranking in the widely-respected Drum Digital Census in the 100-plus employee category and based on clients’ votes.

The annual census draws on client satisfaction, financial results, client wins and campaigns to create a picture of how an agency is performing.

Lancaster-headquartered Fat Media employs 120 people nationally – 30 of them in its Bristol office. It also has an office in London.

The Bristol operation was added to the group as a result of its acquisition last year of Brislington-based content marketing firm Strategy Digital – a move which widened its scope by adding a blogger engagement service, digital PR and social media team.

The agency has a client base of more than 400 clients ranging from SMEs to household brands, across consumer, B2B and specialist niche markets.
