Bristol-based Mubaloo has claimed the title of App Developer of the Year for the second year running. The fast-growing firm, launched by Bristol serial entrepreneur Mark Mason, won the accolade at the Appsters, the national awards for the burgeoning UK app industry.

Mubaloo was also highly commended in the Best Enterprise App category for its Fees-ability iPad app developed for Aviva.

Mubaloo works with major firms to develop innovative apps across a range of platforms including iPhones, Androids, Blackberrys and Windows Phone.

Mr Mason said: “I am so proud of what we have achieved in the last four and a half years. Mubaloo works with some of the world’s largest organisations to enable them to increase their market position by investing in mobile apps. Our team know how to make the best apps on the market.”

In January Mubaloo became mobile phone giant EE’s official custom mobile app partner, helping educate and inform EE’s business customers on how mobility can help transform their business processes.

In August it announced the launch of The Responsive Website Company – a multi-device digital marketing agency delivering responsive & mobile websites. The firm now has offices in London, New York and Düsseldorf as well as its Bristol headquarters.

The Appsters, held at London's Kensington Roof Gardens, are now in their second year and were staged in conjunction with the global mobile event Apps World, now in its fourth year.

Mr Mason was previously founder of Bristol specialist marketing agency Mason Zimbler and has created a number of other businesses in the city.
