Corporate banking relationship director rejoins Barclays

Barclays has appointed Steve Gamlin as a new relationship director for its corporate banking division in Bristol.

Steve, 47, has spent the past eight years at Clydesdale Bank’s Bristol office where he was responsible for providing finance and invoice discounting solutions working with clients in the mid-larger corporate market .

He has a wealth of experience having started his banking career in the 1980s with NatWest prior to moving to Barclays, where he spent much of his career before joining Clydesdale Bank in 2004.

Steve said: “I am pleased at being offered the opportunity to re-join Barclays. While the market is experiencing challenging conditions, Bristol is home to a number of large and very successful clients and I am acutely aware of the need for a stable and secure banking partner and I look forward to working with both new and existing clients.”

Barclays head of region Fraser Mackay added: “Steve will be a valuable asset as we continue to build and develop long-term relationships with Barclays clients.”

Steve was educated in Bristol and lives in the city with his wife and two children.
