Clip’s cutting-edge investment in digital puts it at forefront of exhibition stand industry

Bristol-based exhibition stand design and build firm Clip has invested £120,000 in new machinery as the final stage in an ambitious two-year project to replace of all of its printing devices and position the company at the cutting edge of digital technology.

Its new Durst Omega 2 digital printing machine provides Clip with a high-quality direct print capability. The machine prints on paper, PVC and polypropylene as well as rigid substrates and can print surfaces of any length, up to 1600mm wide and 50mm thick.

The inks are LED-cured, delivering a considerable reduction in power usage meaning it is environmentally friendly and will ensure Clip can reduce costs for its customers.

The machine will also provide up to eight times more detail than the firm’s Tempo print machine did.

As well as streamlining the production process and speeding up turnaround times, Clip said the investment would also ensure it can deliver an even better service to its clients and work even closer with them to reflect the company’s personality on their stand.

Once the product has been installed, Clip is arranging a series of short workshop sessions to promote the benefits of the new machinery to clients.
