Bristol may be sweltering in the hottest temperatures of the year so far, but city-based field marketing business eXPD8 is turning its attention to Christmas by embarking on a festive season recruitment drive for 600 retail support professionals across the UK.

The jobs, most of which will be temporary, will be in stores in the UK and Ireland. Workers will check stock control and availability, product marketing compliance, product promotions and sampling for clients. They will also conduct point of sale placement and development as well as carrying out mystery shopping and logistics.

eXPD8 provides specialist retail support services in more than 8,000 outlets for major supermarket and convenience store chains, the majority of leading film studios, and other leading household brands to increase product sales.

Director and founder Mark Thurgood said: “Businesses in the retail sector are already in full swing preparing for Christmas putting the finishing touches to new product launches for the festive season and finalising their plans for promoting them in stores. At eXPD8 we also need to be ready to play a critical role in ensuring that our customers are able to meet their consumer demand in stores.

“This is the single largest-ever recruitment drive by the company, at nearly double the annual recruitment for the Christmas period, and reflects the phenomenal growth of the business in recent years.”

eXPD8 has the largest workforce in the field marketing sector with 2,500 employees across the UK and Ireland.
