The International Yankee Candle Company – a global home fragrance manufacturer - has taken 1,500 sq ft of office space on the ground floor of Thornbury's Grade II-listed Georgian mansion Park House, once the home to  WG Grace’s elder brother.

The deal was brokered by Colliers International whose offices specialist Richard Wright said:  “Dr Edward Mills Grace’s cricketing career was somewhat overshadowed by that of his younger brother – but he was still one of England’s most well known cricketers in the 1860s and 1870s. He lived at Park House while working as a doctor in Thornbury and serving as coroner for the area.”

The first floor's 1,697 sq ft of office space and six car parking spaces are still available. There is additional storage space in the basement.

Yankee Candle recently signed a deal to move its national distribution centre to a 170,000 sq ft warehouse at Avonmouth.
